Mi Tiempo, Mein Raum, My Map

“…wisp of affection and questions of memory tied to place through particular people”. Susan Ossman. Moving Matters: Path Of Serial Migration. Stanford University Press, 2013. Page 143.

Life In Motion is a multimedia production that uses story though the use of textual forms and performances, maps, drawings, paintings, objects, video, and photography. My goal is to inspire cultural exploration as related to the expansion of the global community, and the exchange of ideas through art.

This project helps me to understand my own life as a life in motion, and a driving force to share my story.

This performance recreates memories of all the people I have met in my life. It presents different stages in my life, and uses names of people that populated my space during a specific time. In this manner I build a map of my journey. At once they all become present.
